The upgraded ESA2 system requires no tools and allows the main spring to be changed in less than a minute.

Experience airsoft with the PRIME™ by Specna Arms® — where innovation meets excellence.

Based on the experience of airsoft players and the technicians in Specna Arms®’ R&D department, the brand has identified the four replica components most commonly upgraded. By analyzing these elements, Specna Arms® aimed to bring its factory replicas closer to the performance of custom builds.

Thanks to the extensive expertise of its R&D and Product teams, as well as its long-standing market experience, Specna Arms® has implemented technological processes and service techniques similar to those used in the production of tuning parts and custom replicas.

The result is a product capable of satisfying even the most demanding airsoft players.

TDC Hop-Up Chamber & Flat-Hop Bucking + 6.02mm Stainless Steel Inner Barrel

The Team That Changes Everything

The Hop-Up system is one of the first components that players upgrade on their airsoft replicas. This modification is common, whether it involves just the hop-up rubber or the entire system, including the barrel, rubber, and hop-up chamber.

Specna Arms® chose to completely redesign the chamber, drawing inspiration from the top-tier tuning hop-up chambers available on the market. The result: the Top-Down-Centre Magnus™ chamber.

Paired with the HELIUM™ flat-hop rubber, specially designed for heavier airsoft BBs to ensure greater shot-to-shot consistency compared to lighter BBs, and a 6.02mm stainless steel inner barrel for enhanced accuracy and durability, this combination represents a significant performance upgrade.

Gearbox Harder, better, faster, stronger.

The second most commonly modified component on an airsoft replica is the gearbox. For the PRIME™ line, Specna Arms® chose to make no compromises and completely redesigned the heart of its replicas.

Starting from scratch, the brand developed an entirely new gearbox, offering not only exceptional durability but also numerous features for users who want to understand how their replica works.

The AETHER™ gearbox shell was engineered to provide the highest durability available in a factory replica. At the same time, it adheres to one of the brand’s core principles: high compatibility with parts from other manufacturers.

This makes it an ideal foundation for the most demanding custom builds, while also being usable in other replicas.

Specna Arms® has reinforced critical areas, such as the front of the gearbox shell and the base of the spring guide, while paying close attention to the cylinder window geometry to minimize stress on the pneumatic system’s axis.

To ensure perfect interaction between the piston and piston gear, Specna Arms® has incorporated inspection holes to check the Angle of Engagement (AOE) and pre-cocking.

This allows users to verify that the piston gear correctly engages the first tooth of the piston or that the cycle stops at the appropriate position. These holes also allow for the detection of premature engagement (PME).

With future HPA upgrades in mind, Specna Arms® designed the gearbox shell to allow for horizontal adjustment, ensuring optimal performance and a perfect air seal.

To ensure smooth operation, Specna Arms® has used 8mm J-cage ball bearings on the sector and bevel gears.

Simulations and load testing revealed additional stress on the spur gear seat in traditional gearbox setups.
That’s why Specna Arms® has implemented a steel bushing in this location, providing maximum durability.

To facilitate gearbox maintenance, servicing, and in case of gearset jams, Specna Arms® has incorporated an inspection hole to release the anti-reversal latch and check the condition of the bevel gear.

Simplicity at its best!
A small screw located behind the trigger axis allows for pre-tension adjustment on any V2 gearbox trigger.

For those seeking modern solutions, Specna Arms® has designed a gearbox shell compatible with magazine sensors for GATE® ASTER II™ and TITAN II™ systems.

The GATE® ASTER II™ system is available on select models only.
The magazine sensor is sold separately.

The Best is Inside! Pneumatic System and Gearset

Probably the Best Gearset on the Market

With a robust gearbox shell in place, Specna Arms® focused on the internal components. The first step was the design of a completely new pneumatic system. The goal was clear: maximum airtightness and optimal compression efficiency.

The steel cylinder features external ribbing for effective heat dissipation, preventing significant diameter changes even during extended firing and ensuring a consistent seal. The aluminum cylinder head, equipped with two O-rings, ensures sealing and is designed to work seamlessly with the cylinder. The dedicated, sealed nozzle is compatible with the MAGNUS™ hop-up chamber. The aluminum piston head, precision-fitted with an O-ring and mounted on a polymer piston with a steel rack, ensures perfect sealing and efficient operation. Enlarged ventilation holes in the aluminum head promote consistent airflow.

The next step in creating a reliable gearbox was the gear set. Instead of the common sintered steel gears, Specna Arms® opted for CNC-machined steel gears with a 16:1 ratio. Additionally, the shimming process was refined to ensure perfect gear alignment.

Brushless Motor More power, more speed, better efficiency.

The last component identified by Specna Arms®’ R&D department was the motor. Traditionally, users had to choose between a high-torque or high-speed motor. With the implementation of BLDC (Brushless DC) technology, this choice is no longer necessary. Brushless motors allow for both high torque and high speed simultaneously.

Specna Arms® was the first manufacturer in the world to offer a line of replicas with BLDC motors installed straight out of the box.

Improved Spring Guide More durable and more stable

A few years ago, Specna Arms® was the first to introduce the tool-less spring change system, SAEC™, which later evolved into the ESA2™ standard.

Today, the brand presents an improved version of the ESA2™ standard. To increase durability and reliability, the wall thickness of the spring guide in the stock tube has been increased by over 50%.
At the same time, to distribute stress more evenly and enhance the stability of the main spring guide, the effective threading of the spring guide has been extended.
