The FN SCAR is a self-loading rifle with a rotating bolt. It was designed to be extremely modular. Indeed, it is possible to change the barrel to increase or reduce the caliber of the weapon. The production of the FN SCAR began in 2007. It will not be until 2009 that the weapon will be used in combat by a battalion of the 75th American Ranger Regiment.
