Barret Airsoft Sniper Replicas

A brief history of Barrett Firearms Manufacturing
Barrett Firearms Manufacturing is an American firearms and ammunition manufacturer based in the city of Christiana, Tennessee. It was founded in 1982 by Ronnie G. Barrett for the sole purpose of building semi-automatic rifles with powerful .50 caliber ammunition, originally developed and used in Browning M2 machine guns.

Barrett began his work in the early 1980s and the first rifles were available in 1982, hence the M82 designation. Barrett designed every part of the gun personally, then marketed the gun and mass produced it with his own funds. He continued to develop his rifle through the 1980s and developed an improvement to the rifle, called the M82A1 in 1986.

Barrett introduced the M82 in 1982, but did not make any significant sales until 1989. Those first big sales were in Sweden. Shortly thereafter, the M82 was purchased by the U.S. armed forces and deployed in the Gulf War. Today, the company has contracts with dozens of countries to supply sniper rifles. The success of the M82A1 led the company to develop several other .50 caliber rifle models, including the M95, M98B, M99 and M99-1. These are lighter, less expensive bolt action rifles.

Barrett Airsoft sniper rifles
There are mainly two replica Barrett airsoft rifles, namely the Barrett M82A1 and M98B and M99 sniper rifles. The only airsoft gun manufacturers that make Barrett replicas are Snow Wolf and Galaxy. Snow Wolf has produced airsoft replicas of the M82A1, M98B and M99, while Galaxy offers a replica of the Barrett M82. The M82A1, M98B and M99 airsoft replicas share one thing in common: they all have excellent craftsmanship. Barrett airsoft sniper rifle replicas are all very faithful copies of real steel rifles. They also have a very high accuracy and a range that is decent for an airsoft sniper rifle.
