Dan Wesson Airsoft Replica
A short history of the Dan Wesson 715
Dan Wesson revolvers earned an enviable reputation for quality design and accuracy during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, but the original Dan Wesson Firearms company went out of business in the late 1990s. The Model 715 was manufactured over a period of only four years, from 1993 to 1995, and again from 2002 to 2004 after the company's resurrection. In 2005, CZ-USA acquired the Dan Wesson brand and resumed production of the Model 715. The latest version of the 715 retains the classic Dan Wesson cylinder lock.
Specificities of the Dan Wesson 725 Airsoft
Dan Wesson 715 replicas include over 20 revolver models, with barrel lengths of 2.5", 4", 6" and 8". The 2.5" and 8" models are of more interest to collectors than to real shooters. The 4" and 6" models are true airsoft replicas. The .177 caliber airsoft replica is based on the real Dan Wesson 715 revolver. This replica is truly attractive with its 6" barrel. The serial number inscription is very pleasant to the touch. On the other hand, the dark gray polished finish may not be for everyone. Fortunately, there are other variants with other colors.
As for the air-operated replica, it weighs about 2.7 kg and is nice and solid. It looks like the real thing in every detail. In addition, you will appreciate the overall balance of the weapon. Like many airsoft replicas of this type, it uses a 12 gram CO² capsule, which fits perfectly into the pistol grip.
Finally, just like on the real Dan Wesson 715 revolver, the latch used to release the cylinder is not located at the top left rear of the frame, but in front of the cylinder crane on the left side.
