Glock Gas Airsoft Replica

The Glock is a series of semi-automatic pistols, manufactured in Austria by the Glock GmbH arms factory. Best known in movies/series, this handgun is still used by law enforcement agencies such as gendarmes.

The Austrian company Glock produces particularly innovative pistols of which the first model, released in 1980, was the Glock 17. It was one of the first commercially successful industrial pistols to incorporate polymers. Thanks to these materials, the weapon is lighter and less sensitive to corrosion. The flexibility of the materials also makes the recoil slightly less brutal than with the perfectly rigid frame of a weapon of equivalent weight. The Glock pistols were a small revolution, as the use of polymers has become the norm for all manufacturers.

These non-metallic materials have been the source of controversy in the United States over the guns produced by Glock. It was claimed that they were deliberately undetectable, primarily by an association fighting against civilian gun ownership. However, more than 80% of the parts making up the Glock are made of metal: (the breech, the barrel, the magazine spring, the firing pin, the ammunition...). Moreover, the polymers used are dense and therefore detectable by conventional X-ray systems, a properly trained security operator will spot the weapon without difficulty.

The legend still persists, notably because of the exploitation of this rumor by the film 58 Minutes to Live, in which Bruce Willis mentions a "German" Glock 7 made of undetectable ceramic. This weapon does not exist, although ceramic pistols were used by Warsaw Pact secret services (particularly in the Czech Republic) at the height of the Cold War.https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glock_(pistol)
