Specna Arms MP41 RETRO AEG Submachine Gun (X-ASR)
The Specna Arms "Retro" line is the result of a collaboration with S&T/AGM. It is a series of classic historical replicas designed for enthusiasts of iconic models from past decades. The models in this range faithfully reproduce the appearance of the original weapons, making them perfect for historical reenactments and an excellent choice for fans of historical firearm replicas.
The MP41 was designed at the C.G. Haenel workshops. It was an evolution of the MP40 model. Unlike its predecessor—which is only colloquially and incorrectly referred to as the "Schmeisser"—the MP41 was indeed designed by Hugo Schmeisser.
This model combined elements of the MP40 (notably the receiver assembly) and the MP28 (the wooden stock and trigger mechanism). This submachine gun was primarily used by the police, Germany's allies, and rear-echelon units.
The model presented here is constructed from metal and wood.
The following parts are made of steel: the barrel, the magazine housing, the receiver cover, the front sight, and the magazine. The charging handle, the butt plate, and the stock bracket are made of aluminum.
The stock and the lower receiver section are made of wood.
The replica supports both semi-automatic and full-automatic firing modes. Firing modes are switched by moving the charging handle forward or backward.
Inside the replica, there is an X-ASR MOSFET. The high-quality X-ASR MOSFET protects the replica's components, improves trigger response and the lifespan of the electronics and battery, and enables the diagnosis of common internal faults via integrated status LEDs.
