Specna Arms MG42 RETRO AEG Machine Gun (X-ASR/Tracer)
The Specna Arms "Retro" line is the result of a collaboration with S&T/AGM. It is a series of classic historical replicas designed for enthusiasts of iconic models from past decades. The models in this range faithfully reproduce the appearance of the original weapons, making them perfect tools for historical reenactments and an excellent choice for fans of historical firearm replicas.
The German MG42 machine gun undoubtedly unleashed not only thousands of BBs but also—and perhaps most notably—terror. "Hitler's Buzzsaw"—as the Allies nicknamed the MG42—could fire approximately 1,200 rounds per minute, providing the user with overwhelming firepower.
Interestingly, this model was designed at the Großfuß factory; prior to developing this machine gun, the company focused on manufacturing industrial metal products rather than conventional weaponry. Their expertise in mass metal machining enabled the creation of a weapon that was simple, inexpensive to produce, and extremely effective.
The included tracer unit illuminates fluorescent BBs and simulates a muzzle flash, making gameplay even more immersive. The effect is particularly spectacular during night games. The kit also includes a USB-C cable for charging the device.
The high-quality X-ASR MOSFET protects the replica's components, improves trigger response and the lifespan of the electronics and battery, and allows for the diagnosis of common internal faults via integrated diagnostic LEDs. The Specna Arms MG42 RETRO is an airsoft replica of the MG42. The user's task is simple: find a position with a good field of fire, then shoot. Fire until the ammo runs out, quickly swap magazines, and resume firing. This is not a rifle intended for CQB—if only due to the model's weight and length—but why not give it a try?
The model is constructed primarily from metal (aluminum and steel), plastic, and wood.
Aluminum: muzzle device, outer barrel, barrel shroud, cylinder head cover, receiver.
Steel: muzzle device latch, side latch for the barrel replacement port (purely aesthetic; the outer barrel cannot be removed through this opening), all screws and pins, magazine, magazine mount, dummy charging handle, bipod.
