The waistcoat is made of nylon mesh. It has three straps on each side for waist adjustment. There are three 50 mm wide straps on the back. The waistcoat is made up of two sections that zip together. The right flap has three individual ammunition pockets for STANAG-type magazines, plus a small pocket with a hook-and-loop fastener for badges.
The left flap has a radio pocket, three pockets for pistol magazines and three pockets for individual STANAG magazines. These pockets are closed with hook-and-loop fasteners. This makes it possible to remove the pockets and replace them with a pistol holster. The kit includes a belt attached by a buckle. Additional magazine holders can be attached to the belt using a hook and loop. The belt is adjustable.
