History:

The MB-02 is heavily inspired by Remington's M24.
The M24 SWS (Sniper Weapon System) rifle is one of the precision rifles used by the US Army. It is currently the most widely used rifle in the US Army, not only for its reliability, but also for its high accuracy and inexpensive ammunition. It will soon be replaced by semi-automatic rifles, which are quicker to fire but less accurate.
Its effective range is given as 800 metres, but shots have been fired at greater distances, including one in Iraq at a record distance of 1,250 metres. The M24 entered service in 1988.
The weapon is based on a Remington 700 rifle (the same as the Marine M40).

The M24A1 is a breech-loading rifle, with so-called "linear" reloading (like the German 98K, for example), whereas the A2 and A3 versions (more modern and able to accept optical equipment such as laser pointers) use a magazine under the weapon.
