M16 Vietnam (Golden Eagle)

The M16 is the US Army's standard assault rifle. The U.S. Army currently uses the A4 version.

The result of a difficult development process, the M16 is the military version of the AR-15, a rifle completed by Armalite in 1958.

The reliability and accuracy of the first version were insufficient and Armalite sold the patents for the weapon to Colt
who received an order for 8,000 weapons to be delivered to Strategic Air Command forces in 1960.
The US Army's research services bought 1,000 more in 1962 and distributed them for testing to South Vietnamese forces.
The experiment produced some enthusiastic reports, which led in 1963 to an order for 85,000 units to equip the army under the designation "XM16E1" and a further 19,000 weapons for the air force under the designation "M16".
The M16 was officially adopted by the US Air Force in 1964 and the United States Army in 1967.

This is an official replica of the American standard, with a full stock that can hold large batteries, a non-removable handguard as originally fitted and the flame arrestor is that of the M16a4 version.

This Golden Eagle replica takes all the codes, body with integrated handguard (carry handle), full ABS stock, triangular handguard, it uses the flame arrestor of the A1 version, on the real version, the tulip flame arrestor was quickly replaced because it had a major disadvantage, in fact because of the poor dispersion of gases it raised a lot of dust and made ground shooting impossible.
