The ARES L42A1 Spring Sniper Rifle is a faithful replica of this precision rifle. Not only are the metal parts of the weapon 95% stainless steel, but it also has a beautiful, high-quality wooden stock that gives it a very rugged, real battle rifle feel. Just like the real steel rifle, the ARES L42A1 has a smooth action, which is what this rifle was known for. This particular version is fitted with a scope straight from the factory, just like the real rifle.
Unlike most ARES spring-loaded bolt action pistols, the L42A1 features a direct ball feed system, similar to that of the Amoeba STRIKER series, to make the internal action much more realistic. The gun comes with a 35-round magazine, and everything is neatly stored in a hard plastic case. If you're looking for a rifle for British Cold War re-enactments, cosplay or even a nice wall hanging, this rifle is perfect for that.
The legendary Lee Enfield rifle is a magazine-fed bolt-action rifle that served the British Empire and its Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century. The British Army adopted different variants of this rifle between 1895 and 1957. The L42A1 variant was designed as a sniper rifle after the British Army adopted the standard NATO ammunition, the famous 7.62x51mm. It was adopted in the 1970s and was not phased out until 1993 by Accuracy International's L96 rifles.
