The Pouch is designed to minimise the effects associated with a failure (for example, a short-circuit or puncture) of the Li-Po battery. However, it does not guarantee 100% protection against the consequences of a failure. It is therefore essential to follow all the safety rules for handling Li-Po batteries. In the event of a battery fire, the role of the bag is to minimise the amount of air around the battery and, ultimately, to smother the fire.
Never leave a Li-Po battery charging unattended and never leave a battery (even in this protective bag) on a flammable surface. Always ensure that the protective bag is securely closed when the battery is inside.
