This machine gun, in its historical version, is the work of John Moses Browning, also the inventor of the BAR light machine gun. It represents a modernization of the Browning 1917 machine gun, which had been adapted for air cooling in order to reduce its weight. The water jacket was therefore replaced by a lighter one, perforated with large, elongated holes, which covered the entire length of the barrel. However, its operation and parts are identical and interchangeable with the 1917 model; both the 1917 and 1919 models were used during World War II.
Airsoft version of the M1919A4 machine gun inspired by the now legendary early 20th-century model. In addition to the replica, the set includes a dummy .30 caliber (7.62x63mm) cartridge pouch and a replica tripod, which, along with the M1919, will allow you to create a realistic defensive position during a historical reenactment or airsoft game.
The M1919 is packaged in two separate boxes—one for the machine gun and one for the tripod. Both the rifle and tripod are made of steel. Assembly is easy and intuitive.
To answer any questions—no, this is not a CQB rifle, but you can always try it out. The main features of this model are its weight, size, and build quality. Starting at the front of the replica, you'll find an aluminum trigger mechanism and an outer barrel. The barrel guard, barrel, reloading grip, tripod, trigger guard, and sight are all made of steel. The rifle's grip, meanwhile, is made of plastic (please note that you should not move the replica while holding it by the grip).
The entire set—including the steel magazine and dummy ammunition belt—weighs over 18 kg, enhancing the user experience when operating the model.
The kit comes with a faithfully reproduced ammunition box, featuring markings identical to those of the original. The box has two operating modes: automatic and sound-activated. It is powered by a 9V battery.
