The Predator is made from first-class aeronautical silicone to be particularly robust, resistant to wear and extreme temperatures, which reduces bucking deterioration. Even when using GBBs, the Predator maintains hop-up operation at temperatures as low as -60°C.
The Predator's design is inspired by the R-hop, which maximises ball contact when the bucking is depressed. Combined with a perfectly sealed barrel, the increased friction increases the backspin on the fired pellets to improve accuracy and shooting distance.
Shaped like a fighter plane, the Predator points towards the muzzle in a V-shape with a central bullet channel that deepens and widens from back to front. The bullets enter the V, which is deep but wide, then narrow but shallow. Finally, the balls are guided along the ball channel to the small end of the V, where they are positioned and launched backwards to achieve accuracy.
Pressing down on the bucking widens the ball entry channel to increase contact and friction. The V-opening has ‘wings’ on either side to connect to the inner barrel opening to position the bullets with maximum contact, also preventing the rear section of the lower from deforming.
The balls are then pushed by the airflow to the tiny V-platform, where friction is greatly reduced, and move in a straight line, driven by the airflow into the inner barrel, with a continuous backspin.
