History :
Replacing the Mp38, which won fame during the Spanish Civil War, the MP40 was designed from the outset as a weapon intended for mass production. Simplicity of materials and production methods (the machining of the Mp38 was replaced by stamping and welding of parts). Innovative in its design, this weapon was a very bad experience for everyone who had to deal with it. Its compact size made it an ideal weapon for armoured and vehicle crews.
